RAN Chengqi, Director General of China Satellite Navigation Office, met Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of UNOOSA, at Vienna International Centre (VIC). They had a in-depth discussion  on cooperation of BDS servicesfor “the Belt and Road” between UN and China and  sending  experts to support the work of UNOOSA. 

RAN Chengqi, Director General of China Satellite Navigation Office, introduced how BDS would provide services for “the Belt and Road” and outcome of international cooperation China archieved. He expressed the intention of dispatching BDS experts  to support the work of UNOOSA and promised China to host a well-planned ICG-13Meeting and to participate  the commemorative activities of the UNISPACE+50. He said that China would continue to devote the power of BDS and Chinese solutions to support GNSS. 

Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of UNOOSA,, thought highly of archievements that BDS made in peaceful use of outer space and promotion of the development of “the Belt and Road”. She expressed ger  gratitude to China for presenting the BDS-3 model and attending the UNISPACE+50. She also appreciated the progress China made on planning the ICG-13. She expressed welcoming of BDS experts to work with UNOOSA and expecting of forthcoming cooperation on GNSS. \
